FAQ

Absolutely! You’re entrusting your greatest asset to someone else to manage. At the very least you should know exactly what the property management process involves to keep your property manager accountable.

Definitely. Learn from my experiences and prevent you and your staff from making unnecessary mistakes while dealing with your landlords’ biggest investments. You have a great responsibility to get it right the first time; you should definitely get copies of my book for you and your team.

Let’s talk. Send me an email and we’ll get the ball rolling.

Yes. Property is such a big field. You cannot get enough exposure to all aspects of real estate, in my opinion. Your qualification process focuses mostly on sales. You actually need this book to help you understand the complex world of property management and all its nuances. You’ll definitely be one up on your fellow interns if you can build on your own understanding of property management.

Yes. There are a number of my working templates I’ve used in the book that are relevant to the property management process. It’s going to make your process a lot easier if you use them. I tell you exactly where to find all the documents you need in the property management process.

Yes! Please do! The whole point of including my working templates is so that your property management journey can be a lot smoother and hassle-free.

Yes and no. You need to understand what the South African law says about you and your property, and I’ll take your through the highlights. But, this book is not a legal textbook. I’ll give you a list of laws that are relevant to you and your property, and you can look them up and read them at your leisure.

Eviction is a legal process. If you follow the process of property management I’ve set out in my book, you will be on the right side of the law. Should you have to go the route of eviction, then it should be a relatively straightforward process.

This book is not a source of legal, financial or tax advice. You would need to find professionals in each of these fields to be a part of your property management team.

Maintenance is part of owning and managing a property. I don’t teach you how to maintain your property, but I do talk about maintenance inspections and who is responsible for what in terms of repairs to your property. When you understand who is responsible for what types of maintenance, your property management journey becomes clearer.

Not at the moment. I’m working on it, but it’s hard copies for now.
